Mississippi's Leading Website Design Firm on Google

How many older generation geeks have played Nintendo games when they were kids? Probably almost every visitor to this blog. You have played and loved your old NES system and regularly think about it again....but alas, you probably threw it out to replace it with the new systems that all the cool kids had to have. I kept mine for many years after I first played my brand new PS2. It wasn't because I thought it was a collectible or because I didn't like my PS2. It was because my NES kept me busy as a kid with great adventure games that were nearly impossible to beat. Everyone who played NES can remember spending the weekend sitting in front of the TV playing TMNT or Battletoads and never really beating the game. Hell, I still know people my age that NEVER beat those games. That was the thrill of it though.

For so long, I have wanted to break out the old system or go to Ebay or Amazon and purchase a used one just to hook up and play the weekend away. Maybe I could beat my old scores on Tetris or Bomberman. Probably not since I am so far out of practice and I have been so used to online gaming and the feel of the newer XBox 360 and PS3 controls. My young self would laugh and destroy my old self. It would still be fun tough.

Now, some of you are wondering why is a website design blogger publishing an article about a system that came out in America 26 years ago. Well, the answer lies in a new site I found and have completely fallen for. It is called Nintendo 8 and it allows you to play some of the best NES games like Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, and so much more. I have had a few issues with some of the games playing properly, but my favorite ones play flawlessly. It even allows you to setup save points in games like Zelda.

Again, this is not a paid post and I am not affiliated with this website at all, but I figured some of the geeks out there that read my blog would like to relive their childhood without having to unhook their new systems to plug in the NEW system. Everything is done online and it is FREE. unfortunately for some, it uses Java, but it is a small sacrifice to play these awesome games of old.

The games are great quality, easy to use, and extremely addicting....just how I remember them. Also, while you are at it, check out some of the link they provide to other systems like the Super NES, Gameboy, and of course, the original NES. Ah, the memories just keep rolling in. Below are a few screen shots just in case you need some incentive to visit their site.

Of course we have to place somewhere on here that all images are copyright of their respective owners....and we would like to thank those owners for making these awesome games that got me through long summer days.

Go play and enjoy the games we grew up with. If you have any links to other online projects for game systems like Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, and even Atari I would love to hear about it. Add a comment below with your experiences with the site and potential sites for gaming geeks.
