Biloxi Transportation Systems Design Project

Biloxi Transportation Systems in an agent for United Moving Van Lines and has been on the coast for 96 years. Biloxi Transfer and Storage Co. was established in 1913 and now offer a 120,000 sq. ft warehouse facility.

They are accredited with USDOT, AMSAP, and NMFTA to name a few. They are a trusted moving company and have contributed to many post Katrina benefits. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Their website was a general site with a professional theme. They only wanted four pages, but they wanted those four pages to stand above the rest. Their site uses a calendar to help visitors request and estimate as well as helps them keep the dates consistent when they receive a new estimate request.

Their about page shows the heritage of company and also allows the visitor to see what Biloxi Transportation Systems started out as. We included a gunge-style image to keep up with the professional theme, but to give a sense of age.

Lastly we have a estimate page that allows visitors to ask for a price regarding their move. The contact form keeps most automated spam out with a series of PHP lines.

Lastly, we have their logo. Although they are no longer based in Biloxi we felt we needed to include a lighthouse to keep up with the name. The logo was created to reflect the name as well as the reputation of the company. Its simple, yet effective.

Their entire site contains valid HTML 4.01, and valid CSS 2.1. Biloxi Transportation System completion time was about 4 days.
