Institutional Concepts Design Project
UPDATE: Now using a Wordpress site with a custom Wordpress template modified by the site owners, not designed by Zero 3 Computers.
Institutional Concepts is a food service brokerage company specializing in providing sales and marketing for the products of leading food manufacturers. The company is owned by Jay Tynes. Jay began the company because he had a passion for the food service industry and thought it needed a new option for sales and marketing.
Institutional Concepts was a very simple website. The website only had 4 dynamic pages and a static splash screen. Jay did not need a lot of images and wanted to keep a simple theme that did not draw away from the services he provided. The hardest part about the entire site was the fading images on the homepage.
The homepage consists of a simple boxed layout with recent news and a simple overview of the company. The images are stored in a database and can be ordered however Jay sees fit. In order to give the visitor something to leave the site with Jay decided to have random quotes displayed on the bottom. This is also dynamic and can be controlled by Jay.
The about page is yet another simple page that just has two boxes telling about the company and includes Institutional Concepts contact information.
His partners page is a page that his investors and partners can see who is on board. In the future Jay wants to have a login section for the partners and investors so that he can give important updates, etc. At the time of the publication of this page we had not incorporated this feature into the design.
The last page we did for him is the newsroom. This is a completely dynamic page that displays his current news. The news shown on this page is updated by Jay whenever he feels the need to add something about the progress of the company or its partners.
The entire Institutional Concepts site contains valid HTML 4.01, and valid CSS 2.1. Institutional Concepts completion time was about 1 - 2 days.
